[If Rey had to be perfectly honest about that, she'd have to say she never thought too much about the present either. Not in the broade sense, that is, because there is still a future to think about in the now.

[Okay, starting to sound like a broken record here.]

Things are fine as they are here, I guess? I, um. Never had anything like a family before -- a real one, that is -- except for my brother. [Because her father doesn't count, does he? They didn't really have a familial relationship, and Rey knew how deep his emotional disconnect went. In a sad way, Nick is more human than the man who created her.]

[He smiles; he knows what that feels like, to get your family after so long. Rey doesn't seem as externally exhilarated by it as he was, but everybody does these things their own way. He just hopes that she's happy with it.]

Than that's all you need if that's all you want.

[Rey has spent more than exhaustion over it, but as time went on it became less and less, and more... Well, it's something else now. Something she isn't sure she's ready to lose.
