I want to apologize for what happened. I am oath-bound to make amends in any way I can.

Hmph. You think that makes you a big man? Far as I'm concerned, whatever the hell you did isn't something you can just apologize for.

[His tone is more annoyed than angry.

He wonders if he should be so sensitive. It's not like he actually got hurt... Or could've been badly hurt with his immortality. But the incident lit upon a ocncern close to his heart: what if Szilard could control him as easily as this guy supposedly did?]

What's an oath got to do with anything?

My oath is to my goddess, who would see that I atone for what I did in any way I can.

So no, it's not just an apology. I'm well aware that's nowhere near enough to make up for my actions.

A goddess, huh? Don't you think a goddess, if she existed, would have better things to do than bother with whatever the hell it is you're up to?

[Firo doesn't have a horse in this race. He's not religious at all--quite the opposite, in fact--but, boy, does he love trying to incite a fight over nothing. It doesn't seem like nothing to him, of course, but there's no ultimate aim to his words aside from seeing if he can prod this guy.

It's nothing personal, though that means the antagonism is only more pointless and unjustified.]
